Day 189 of 365: Still Life... Simple Designs
Saturday, July 7, 2012
I keep forgetting that I was once a fine art photographer before becoming a street photographer/photojournalist. In my early years my interests were photographing simple things: Leaves, trees, junk.. you name it. It was something about texture, lines, and design that interested me and how it all pulled together in a photograph. In fine art every detail counts: the crop, the tones, and the emotion are all accounted for. Sure that this image is a simple leaf, but I had a strategy on how to photograph it. I kinda want to do this again tomorrow. It's a lot of fun.
