SO ABOUT THOSE RESOLUTIONS...

Currently the project I'm working on is at a steady speed. It's been great being able to photograph and write music as concept. I'm sure a lot of people have done this type of thing, but I've realized that using the Instax medium as well as recording everything at home really hones in the "diary" like feeling. The music isn't some "bedroom-recording-4track" demo that most musicians are apt on doing on their spare time. No.... not this project. The music side will have a great amount of production. Loads of layers and different instrumentation, but still keeping the theme and sound in a certain direction. The photos, all Instax, are black and white and are carefully taken. I can only have two packs of film to work with a month.

Aside from that I'll be blogging these images a month to showcase what I've dealt with along the way. I already have an idea of how I want to present this project. This body of work may be the most important body of work to date. I'm still going to be shooting 35mm film, but first thing I need to tackle is developing all the fucking undeveloped film that I have in a fucking plastic bag. I'm tired of seeing that shit. I'll also be shooting more digital this year as it helps push the fine art practice I need to make everyday. And with that I'm doing the "LEFT IN THE DARK" series which is all black and white portrait photography. They will be posted every Monday. I'm going to try and carefully produce these images as best as I can. I really need to make an effort to edit images and make them look pretty.

That pretty much it on the artists goals. Everything else like being healthy, being financially stable and work hard is still an ongoing process that I try to keep up since last year. Though that last year was a complete mess it definitely was a year of victory and a year of realization. 2018 is going to be a good year. I just fucking know it.
